February 27, 2011

May I share with you again?

I seems to me that I am barely turning around and it is already time to write
the weeks are flying by, It doesn’t seem like I am getting the rest each week!
Am I the only one? I hope and pray that you get an opportunity to rest this
Sabbath day and enjoy some close fellowship with our Lord and Savior and with
your family and friends as well.

Our entire world seems to be in turmoil this week! As I listen to the news
commentators they are all talking about and speculating about where it is going
to break out next! It makes me realize that the prophecies of Daniel are
certainly being fulfilled when he talks about how in the last days “Many will
many years ago that the various countries didn’t know much about what was going
on within their neighboring countries lives. Today with the Internet,
face-book, twitter, etc, we are all being kept updated on the very instant as
it happens! Truly knowledge is increasing in ways we never dreamed of, and we
don’t even have to run there to be there! We are on the front page of every
event!

The terrible earthquake in Christchurch, New Zealand is a tragic example of
being able to be there as it happens, maybe this is why we don’t feel like we
are getting any rest! Eh? The whole world is at our door and there doesn’t seem
to be any relief!

I pray that this week as we take a break from the news and all that is going on
all around us that we can enjoy a bit of peace and rest, just trusting in our
Lord! I will be speaking this week out at our Sister Church in Dulzura, and
Pastor Darren will be speaking here at PV. His sermon is “The Reward of Grace”
based on the parable of the vineyard man hiring labors to work in His vineyard.
I would encourage you to read the parable in Matthew 20:1-16

Our church will soon be undergoing a face-lift! I am very happy to report that
thanks to the very generous donation of three vintage cars which we have been
able to sell, our church will soon be going through a much needed exterior
face-lift! We have contracted with a company to apply a special high quality
“Cool Wall” coating to all of the buildings on our campus! This material which
will be applied is made by “TextCoat” and is much superior to regular paint.
that our air conditioning bills should reduce by as much as 20%, but even more
important it is guaranteed for 25 years against fading, chipping, or pealing!
So, our church should still look great when the Lord returns!
