CARA BLACK will read from
Murder in Passy
Tuesday, March 1st at 7 PM

Join us for an evening of mystery with bestselling author Cara Black,
who will read from her latest Aimee Leduc novel.

Passy, home to many of Paris’s wealthiest residents, is the last
place one would expect a murder. But when Aimee’s godfather and
longtime mentor, Morbier – a “commissaire” of police – asks her to
check on his girlfriend at her home there, that’s exactly what Aimee
finds. Xavierre, who’s planning her daughter’s wedding, ends up
strangled with her own scarf in her garden while Aimee waits inside.
Circumstantial evidence makes Morbier the prime suspect, and to
vindicate him, Aimee must identify the real killer. Her investigation
leads her to police corruption; the radical Basque terrorist group,
ETA; and a kidnapped Spanish princess.

RACHAEL HERRON will read from
How to Knit a Heart Back Home
Thursday, March 3rd at 7 PM

Rachael Herron will read from her engaging sequel to How To Knit a
Love Song, featuring both new and familiar characters in the town of
Cypress Hollow.

Lucy Harrison sells books by day and volunteers with the Cypress
Hollow fire department by night. Her life is smooth and even-keeled –
just the way she likes it. That is, until bad-boy ex-cop Owen Bancroft
comes back to town. Lucy has always been fearless about helping
others. But when it comes to risking her heart, she realizes she’s
absolutely terrified.

Lucy and Owen are thrown together by the discovery of the lost work
of a local legend: knitting guru Eliza Carpenter. Now Owen, adrift and
struggling to redefine himself as a civilian without a badge, will
have to learn how to open himself up to life’s new
possibilities…while Lucy decides just how much of herself she’s
willing to gamble on love.

Readings by Award-winning Poets
Thursday, March 17 at 7 PM

Join us as we celebrate the 8th Annual Crossroads Irish-American
Festival with a very special poetry reading, followed by a
post-reading social hour in honor of St. Patrick’s Day.

Hosted by Katherine Hastings, founder of the WordTemple Poetry Series
in Sonoma County, the evening will feature readings by prize-winning
poets Gillian Conoley, Kathleen Lynch, and Gwynn O’Gara.

The Crossroads Irish-American Festival is an annual event in San
Francisco that explores and celebrates the history of the Irish
Diaspora throughout the Americas in creative performance, conversation
and debate, music, film, readings, storytelling, theater, and more.
