That’s right!

We are having a Seat Sale

this President’s Day Weekend!

All Seats are FREE this Sabbath at the

Paradise Valley Church!

I hope to see you there!

Seriously though there is something much better than a President’s Sale at
church this Sabbath! In fact this could well be the most important Sabbath of
this entire year! If you have to miss a Sabbath this year, this should NOT be
the Sabbath to miss! The book Christ’s Object Lessons has this to say about
the parable we are studying this Sabbath: “The Parable of the wedding garment
opens before us a lesson of the highest consequences.” With that in mind, I
would like to urge you to make this Sabbath’s attendance your #1 Priority this
President’s Day Weekend! It is much more important than any sale going on in
any store in “America’s Finest City”. I am looking forward to seeing you in
church this Sabbath! You might want to prepare for worship this Sabbath by
reading the parable in Matthew 22:1-14 before coming to church.

A tribute for African American Month

“On Being Brought from Africa to America”

?Twas mercy brought me from my Pagan land,

Taught my benighted soul to understand

That there?s a God that there?s a Savior too:

Once I redemption neither sought nor knew

Some view our sable race with scornful eye,

?Their colour is a diabolic die?

Remember Christians, Negros, black as Cain,

May be refin?d and join th?angelic train.

by Phillis Wheatley

(Phillis Wheatley was born in Africa in 1754. When she was about eight years
old, she was kidnapped and brought to Boston. There, in 1761, John Wheatley
bought her for his wife, Susanna, as a personal servant. She is the first
recorded African American Poet.)

We salute our African American Brothers & Sisters!
