Intersection For the Arts San Francisco
We have BIG news and we want you to be the first to know!
INTERSECTION FOR THE ARTS IS MOVING!!!
Jump on board now! This historic chapter in Intersections legendary journey which started in North Beach, moved into the Mission District, and has become a City-wide story – will be a profound experience. We want you with us and were counting on your support!
In true Intersection tradition, we are actively acknowledging that the world has changed and we are boldly responding and re-inventing! This exciting move, which resolves long-standing challenges in our current facility, isnt just about physical space. It also seizes on an unprecedented opportunity to take a daring leap forward that will significantly expand our capacity to assert and support the role that art and cultural space play in building and re-building community.
With your support, Intersections leadership role at 5M can have penetrating impact for local and national artists and organizations who engage in transformative community practice. You are an important partner in carrying forth our tradition of diverse and innovative art in big new ways!
Our new facility at 901 Mission Street in the iconic San Francisco Chronicle Building, just a few blocks from Intersections Valencia Street home, is designed to be utilized as an administrative art hub by day and an exciting event and program space by night. We want to play with what cultural space can be in the 21st century. We want to assert flexible, accessible, and new ways of creating and sharing work.
Your support will ensure that we can carry forward the following ongoing and new programs and initiatives:
Intersection Everywhere: A bold new performance experiment that will place artists in surprising public and private places and will inform the design and development of a new, state-of-the-art, permanent, flexible performance space that will support Bay Area artists and companies.
