March 14th - March 25th, 2013 Join Mike, Rob, Cat & Danielle on a Yoga Vida adventure to one of India's most sacred places - Vrindavan. We will have daily lectures with Dr. Satyanarayana Das Baba-ji (founder of the Jiva Institue, where we will be staying), daily yoga classes, and guided trips to the holy places of the region including Krishna's birthplace, temples, and boat rides on the Yumuna river. We will visit a Goshala to care for protected cows, shopping markets, and the famous Taj Mahal. This is a rare opportunity to experience a taste of traditional India. Yoga Vida 200-Hour Teacher Training Our 200-hour Training Program is for more than just the aspiring yoga teacher. It's for anyone in a transition, looking for direction, or simply searching for a deeper understanding of yoga. Students become part of a community of like-minded yogis looking to evolve their own personal practice. Working together in this supported group environment as well as with individual mentors, students will have an opportunity to grow as teachers and individuals. The chakra system allows us to discover where we are holding on to false beliefs, and explore our fullest potential as spiritual beings. We will work through corresponding asanas and mantras with awareness and bring consciousness to these energy centers during this 2-hour interactive vinyasa workshop. Events @ 666 Hurricane Sandy Benefit w/ Domenic Friday, November 16th: 6:30pm @ 666 Broadway Join us for a 65-minute vinyasa flow class accompanied by Live Music. All proceeds go toward hurricane relief through the "Mayor's Fund to Advance NYC". Regular class rates apply - and please feel free to bring a little extra cash to help our neighboring communities. The Domestic Violence Project Flow Class w/ Danielle Thursday, December 13th: 6:45-8pm @ 666, $20. Please join us for a 75-minute vinyasa flow class where all proceeds go towards the Domestic Violence Project (DVP). The Domestic Violence Project at the Urban Justice Center is a team of attorneys and social workers serving DV victims in the NYC area through a unique holistic approach. Can't wait to see you there! Hurricane Sandy Supply Drive @ 666 We are collecting supplies at our 666 Broadway location to benefit those who were directly affected by Hurricane Sandy. Yoga Vida teachers and teacher training alumni will distribute the goods to local communities in need. *Please note that we cannot accept donations at 99 University!
